The lighthouse is considered a symbol of guidance and salvation and has always been helpful, since ancient times, sailors who were returning home. Despite no longer have the same utility than once, however, remain the splendid monuments, the result of ingenuity and resilience of man. That’s why we decided to share with you some wonderful pictures of lighthouses that are resistant to any kind of weather.
The ancient sailors often could not find the route to home thanks to bonfires on the hilltops. The bonfires were then converted into real headlights. Gradually became more and more high and strong and were built close to the sea. Many of them are the true pearls of engineering and architecture, able to withstand the fury of the sea.
Although these lights one day may no longer be operating at night, we can still appreciate the beauty and suggestiveness.
