The Berlin Wall

  • Views 1242

The Berlin Wall, Berliner Mauer, surrounded West Berlin 161 km, was three and a half meters high and was built August 13, 1961. At the time of his fall, which took place November 9, 1989, thousands of East Berliners overcame the border joyfully welcomed by fellow Westerners. The fall of the Berlin Wall symbolizes the beginning of the process of German unification and the end of an era in history. The Wall has been sold by the government of East Germany, and now only parts of the wall are still visible. Where can I find the last remnants of the Wall: Bernauer Strasse, Invaliden, the Brandenburg Gate, East Side Galery, Niederkirchnerstrasse.
